Dr. Margaret Lambie, flute, is a performer and teacher in Eureka, Montana. She completed her DMA and MM in Flute Performance at the University of Kansas, with with Dr. Sarah Frisof and Michael Gordon. She holds a Bachelor of Music in both Flute Performance and Music Education from Hastings College (Nebraska), where her primary instructor was Deb Johnson. Margaret served as the second flute with the Hastings Symphony Orchestra, the principal flute with Hastings College Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, and sang with the Hastings College Choir. Margaret has been a member of the KU Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, the Hastings Symphony Orchestra, the Eutiner Festspiele Opera Orchestra, Lawrence Community Orchestra, and Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City, and the Waverly Community Band.
A completely different side of Margaret is her knitting. She has been a fiber artist for over a decade, making a wide variety of pieces. She is currently the music, gardening, and textiles teacher at Chrysalis Therapeutic Boarding School for Girls.
